Liquorice Extract

Liquorice Liquid Extract is an aqua alcoholic extract, manufactured by a process where the extraction of Liquorice is performed with Purified Water and Ethanol. Liquorice extract is manufactured according to the requirements of the European Council on food hygiene and flavouring. Liquorice also sometimes spelt as Licorice is a sweetening substance that is used in relieving inflammation or irritation of the mouth. Liquorice Liquid Extract is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry and in the manufacture of herbal medicines as the basis for liquid cough preparations. It is also be used in making Soft Drinks or Flavourings.

Liquorice comes from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. and is also know  as Glycyrrhiza inflata Bat. or Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.
